Summer is in full swing at Hot Shots Dance Studio! This summer we are offering our full schedule of classes in the morning and afternoon for 8 weeks. At Hot Shots, we offer:

Great Job HSDS!

You all did such a great job the past two weekends! Thanks to all parents for your support and for getting the students there on time and having them ready! Thanks to all of the students for being such great teammates, dancers, and performers. It is so great to see everyone getting to know each other and sitting together as a cheering section for our studio. Having team spirit and unity is very important to the success of the students.

Spring Enrollment Special

We are excited to offer our Spring Special this year! Now you can sign up for classes and get three months for the price of two! Sign up by March 10th to take advantage of this great offer (does not apply to classes you are currently enrolled in). This offer is only good for classes in March, April and May 2009. We are Entering Competition Season

We have been hard at work at the Studio getting ready for our competition season. We are all excited for our first competition on Feb. 28th at the Thanksgiving Point Barn.

Spring Concert--Mark Your Calendars

Our Spring Concert will be on May 28th at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo. This year we will be performing our production of "Peter Pan" along with a few of our competition and tap numbers.
Tickets for our spring concert will be $7 for ages 5 and up, $5 for children under 5. For more information, contact the studio.

The Nutcracker

Hot Shots Dance Studio and Ballet Company are very excited to share their annual "Nutcracker" ballet with you this year!

Showtimes are Monday Dec. 1st and Tuesday Dec. 2nd at 7pm in the Pleasant Grove High School Auditorium. Tickets are $6 at the door.

Nutcracker Matinee-Schools needed!

Hot Shots Ballet Company has 2 matinée performances of the "Nutcracker" ballet this year. They will be held on Dec. 1 and 2 at 10am in the Pleasant Grove High School auditorium. The cost for these performances is $1 per student to help cover the auditorium rental. We are currently looking for schools who are interested in attending our matinées.

The Hot Shots Dance Studio and Ballet Company will be performing the "Nutcracker" ballet again this year. In our efforts to put on a great show and to ensure this Christmas tradition can continue for years to come at our local Pleasant Grove High School, we are asking local businesses to become sponsors of our "Nutcracker" ballet.

When you donate to Hot Shots' "Nutcracker" ballet, you can choose to be a Bronze ($1.00-$49.00), Silver ($50.00-$99.00), or Gold Sponsor($100 and up). Your business name will appear in the program at the December 1st and 2nd performances under your respective category. It is our goal at Hot Shots Dance Studio to bring this great Christmas tradition to Pleasant Grove for all to enjoy.

The Nutcracker and other Christmas Performances

Join us for our upcoming Christmas Performances and "The Nutcracker"!

Our 7th annual "Nutcracker" ballet will be held on Dec. 1 and 2 at 7pm at Pleasant Grove High School. Call HSDS for ticket prices and information. (801) 785-5883

We will be performing at the Christmas Expo at the South Town Expo on Nov. 14 at 6pm.

We will also be performing at the Festival of Trees on Dec. 4 at 1:55pm.

Nutcracker Daycamp

You're invited to HSDS 3rd annual Nutcracker Daycamp!

Wear your party dress with your ballet slippers and join us for a fun-filled day. Experience the magic of "The Nutcracker" story. Become a Jr. Sugar Plum Fairy in a fun and challenging ballet class with a professional ballerina! Get your portrait taken with the cast of "The Nutcracker" ballet. Create a beautiful picture frame to display your Nutcracker Daycamp photograph.

Who: All girls ages 3-9 years old

When: Saturday Nov. 1st, 9:30am-12:30pm

Where: HSDS, 90 S. Main Pleasant Grove

Cost: $45, includes t-shirt, portrait and frame, dance class and story time.

Pool Party!

Our Pool Party will be on Thursday Aug. 7th. We will be meeting at the Pleasant Grove Pool at 3:30pm. Kids 0-3 are free, everyone 4 and up is $4. Our wonderful Hot Shots teachers will be at the pool from 3:30-5:30pm.

If you cannot swim, please bring your parent!

Hot Shots Dance Studio Company attended Tremaine Convention and Competition last week.

Scholarship winners include: Ivy Dean, Olivia Kosterlitz, Stephanie Baum, and Kylee Petersen!

The team won multiple 1st place awards and Best of Show! What an amazing accomplishment! We are very proud of our team and our parents' support. Thanks to everyone for a great trip!

We are now registering students for fall classes! You can register your student at any time this week (July 30-31) or next week (Aug 4-7), or we will be available at the studio for registration on August 20th from 3-6pm. Hip Hop Kidz

Change of Schedule!

Monday Aug 4th we will hold class from 4-6:30pm to finish the piece we've been working on. Then, on Aug. 15 we will hold the last class from 2:30-3:30pm. Please make sure that you are at both of the practices and you have paid your choreography fee. Also, bring a bandana or rag to the practices!

Parent's Club Night!

HSDS will host 3 Parent's Club Nights this year. This is a great opportunity for all student's parents to spent time with and get to know other parents at the studio.

Our first Parent's Club Night is Tuesday, August 12 at 7:00pm at the studio. All parents are invited to attend. Our theme will be "Banana Split Night" and we will need volunteers to sign up to bring items to build our banana splits.

A sign up list has been posted on the bulletin board next to the front office. Add your name to the list to bring an item or to sign up to come and enjoy the evening. Please include your email address for more information on future club nights!

Fall Classes

Our fall classes will begin on Aug. 25. Registration for fall classes will begin the week of July 21.

Summer Classes and Pool Party!

We are very excited with the summer classes and have been extremely happy with the attendance so far! This will have a big impact on the progression of the students for the up coming year. Please make sure that your registration papers have been filled out!

Pool party! We will be having a pool party with all summer students at Hot Shots! We will let you know date/time by next week.
